International Dark Sky Reserve

Here, at night, you can truly see the stars

The Millevaches park is a certified International Dark Sky Reserve, one of the purest night skies in Europe. From the land, all you have to do is look up.

Dark Sky label

A night sky protected from light pollution, among the purest in Europe.

The Suc au May, 908 m

Less than thirty minutes away, its orientation table takes in a 360° panorama over the Monédières hills.

The land of a thousand springs

Here, nature is everywhere

Majestic trees, air humming with birds and insects, a roe deer around a bend in the trail, an owl at dusk. Here, nature is not around you: you are in its home.

A thousand springs

That is what Millevaches means. The Vienne, the Vézère and the Corrèze rivers are born on the plateau.

45% forest

Corrèze is one of the most wooded departments in France. Here, trees are the horizon.

Silence

Nothing but water, wind and birdsong. A luxury that has become rare.

Nature getaways

At the gateway to the Millevaches plateau

For a nature holiday in the heart of the Limousin, it is hard to dream of better. The Millevaches plateau is one of the last great unspoiled areas in France, and everything is less than thirty minutes from the land.

  • Canoeing and paddleboarding

The Vézère rolls its lively waters below Treignac, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Hop in a canoe or on a paddleboard, between wooded gorges and rounded boulders.

  • Bariousses lake

A stone's throw from Treignac, a sandy beach backed by pine trees and gentle water all summer long. The lakeside loop is a lovely way to dry off.

  • Hiking

Hundreds of kilometres of waymarked trails wind between peat bogs, waterfalls and beech forests. The silence of the plateau does the rest.

  • Mountain biking and gravel

Quiet country lanes and endless forest tracks. The Millevaches plateau is a still-secret paradise for mountain biking and gravel riding.

  • Paragliding

From the crests of the Monédières, you take off facing the valleys of the Limousin. A renowned flying site, less than thirty minutes from the land.

  • Trail running

A recognised trail-running spot, the Treignac outdoor sports resort has you running under the trees, along the Vézère. Never on tarmac, always on gentle hills.

  • The Monédières massif

Heather moors where wild blueberries are picked in summer and, from the top of the Suc au May, one of the finest panoramas in the Limousin. A wild and generous massif.

  • Arboretum and Maison de l'Arbre

From the land, a footpath leads to the Chamberet arboretum and its trees from around the world. At the end of the walk, the Maison de l'Arbre tells the story of the forest to young and old alike.

The land

Just over 14,000 m² of soft meadow, lined with trees, with the forest rising right behind. This is where the lodges, the workpod and the micro-farm will take their place, leaving the largest share to the living world.

The arboretum, right next door

You step out of the land, walk through the Chamberet arboretum and its trees from around the world, and arrive at the Maison de l'Arbre. A stroll that will quickly become a ritual.

The forest, all around

Beeches, oaks, Douglas firs, and that particular hush of the undergrowth. The trails start right from the land, all you have to do is pick a direction.

This area is still being planted...

A little patience. Like nature, some projects take time to sprout. This section will be ready soon. See you very soon.

That's it, we found the land! We are now preparing a detailed presentation of the site layout, and soon, an interactive 3D model of the land and the neighbouring arboretum.
